Comic Crits began as a way for me to combine my love for making comics with my love for reading.
Although I started out assessing books, over time its morphed into a kind of reading diary, less concerned with assessment, but more about the joy of always having a good book bubbling away in the extremities of your life, on the morning commute or at bed-time.
I only make one when I think I have something to say. There’s little bits of autobiography in there, as well as some stuff about other painters and artist I admire.
I’m not beholden to anyone with regards to content, dates and deadlines, so I do what I want. How rare is that?
